Making The Time
Like many things in life it comes down to time. I know A LOT of people who tell me they’d eat better if they just had the time. Well buddy, we all have exactly the same amount of time, it’s about what’s important to you.
I don’t always eat the best but in general I eat a solid overall diet that gets my body everything it needs. But this also takes some preparation and time. I do grocery shopping and I plan my meals out for the week except for dinner. Dinner is a family thing so I go along for the ride there but breakfast and lunch are mine. I will buy what I need at the grocery store an do about an hour or so of meal prep on Sunday and I’m good to go for the week.
Remember, protein is a critical component of your diet and packs a big PUNCH when it comes to helping you get and stay healthy. Make sure you get proper levels of protein in your diet.

Man I love Protein, I take Whey and Casein protein everyday Whey before and after training and Casein before bed as it keeps me fuelled while im sleeping. But after reading your article Mat, Im feeling like I should double down on my orders, because as you point out Protein is really crucial for the effective development of athletes and men in general.
But like you say too much of a good thing can actually be a bad thing and lead to some serious health effects like kidney stones, so I try to keep my intake based on common sense really

Thanks for stopping by! Really appreciate your comments. I, like you, love protein as well. My wife even calls me “meat boy” sometimes when I’ve just puled a massive plate of meat off the grill. Protein is a very critical component and while it’s possible to get too much of a good thing, I think it’s hard to get that much protein. You have work at it. CheerS!
Thank you Mat for a very informative and readable article. I think we all tend to underestimate the importance of a good well balanced diet and protein is often the area which we fall down on. We eat plenty of fats and carbs but protein, such as fish, eggs, meat, cheese and legumes tend to be squeezed in as a way of just adding variety rather than for the necessary proteins they contain. If that pic of the full blown biceps is yours, you must be getting adequate protein.
